4 Ingredient DIY Christmas Ornament

10:00 AM

What's the best way to stay productive, festive & creative during Christmas break? Make a fun DIY!

When you think your Christmas tree still needs a little bit of funk. Add an extra personal touch to it! It's fun, it's easy and it just needs 4 ingredients that you probably have lying around your house right now.

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 Dog/Cat (I told you, you'll have one of these lying around the house. Haha. This one's for the lulz. But you really need one!)

Step 1:

Mix your flour & salt into a bowl. And start pouring in water. Knead on the dough until firm.

Step 2:

Start waking up your dog/puppy, cat, baby, child, husband, wife, grandmother, etc. Whoever you wish to imprint on. I woke up this little monster & he immediately got curious to what I was doing.

Step 3:

Then start pressing their paws/hands into the dough until you see the prints clearly. (Also, look at little monster's cute chubby fluffy paw though. *Squishyyyy*)

Anyway, it should look like this.

Step 4:

With a straw/stick/pen start poking a hole on top for the yarn to tie later on.

Step 5:

Pop it in the oven for about 30mins to 1hr  or until it's dry at 200 degrees.

Step 6:

After you let it cool down for a while. Start preparing your art materials and think of a design you'd want your ornament would look like.

Et Voila!

Here's our little monster beside his Christmas ornament. His face says it all. He loves it.

Happy DIY-ing!
